Board Letter

During fiscal years 2015-16 and 2016-17, several County vehicles were irreparably damaged in vehicle accidents. Your Board contemporaneously declared the vehicles surplus and the County’s Risk Management Department submitted recovery claims to the CSAC Excess Insurance Authority. General Services received insurance proceeds totaling $141,582, which were deposited into the Fleet Depreciation & Replacement fund in anticipation of replacing the damaged vehicles. General Services and department staff determined the appropriate replacement vehicles and now request your Board’s approval to purchase the vehicles indicated in Exhibit A.

 

It is therefore RECOMMENDED that your Board authorize Fleet Services to purchase replacement vehicles for the General Services fleet.
